My name is Corey and I currently work as a technical associate in a biological engineering research lab at MIT, primarily doing research related to the liver. Most of my job right now consists of measuring the mass transport properties of hydrogels for in vitro cell culture as well as mass transport modeling using COMSOL, to model the transport, consumption, and oxygen concentration profiles within in vitro cell culture systems.

Tutoring Approach/Experience
The real beauty of teaching comes from the realization that each student is a keyhole, and the best tutors are the ones who can shape their teaching keys to fit the student. This is a lifelong learning process for tutors, so dedication to teaching and a love of learning are essential qualities. There is no better joy than seeing when the key fits and the light goes on in the student's head, and you realize that they now understand a concept that was previously difficult for them to grasp. I would say that I would differ from most other tutors because I would spend more time and effort preparing for the tutoring/teaching session, I would be more professional, and I am very patient and understanding with students.
